Neighbors report death of 12-year-old girl in Akademichesky

Local residents reported the tragedy at 6 Semikhatova Street in Akademichesky. The body of a 12-year-old schoolgirl, who was in the fifth grade and from a single-parent family, was found beneath the windows of a residential building.

«She lived with her mom, she doesn»t have a dad. It was an ordinary family, nothing destructive,« stated one eyewitness to the incident.

Police officers and an ambulance crew arrived at the scene promptly.

According to a source, police went up to the child«s mother»s apartment. The woman assumed her daughter was at school. After going downstairs together, she identified the deceased. During the inspection, a note and a mobile phone were found on a transitional balcony.

The educational institution where the girl studied declined to give any comment. The Investigative Committee for Sverdlovsk Oblast has also not yet commented on the situation.
