Neighbors recount discovery of 11-year-old girl's body in Akademchesky

Neighbors have shared details about an 11-year-old girl who was found dead under the windows of a house on Semikhatov Street in the Akademchesky district of Yekaterinburg. She was a fifth-grader and was raised in a single-parent family.

«She lived with her mother; she doesn»t have a father. The family is normal, nothing destructive,« one of the eyewitnesses told E1.RU correspondents.

According to our interlocutor, ambulance services and police immediately arrived at the scene of the tragedy.

«Police officers arrived, went up, and knocked on the mother»s door. She thought the child was at school. Then they all went downstairs, and the woman realized it was her daughter. They went through the floors and saw that a note and phone were lying on a balcony on the landing,« a source told E1.RU.

The school where the girl studied refused to comment. The Investigative Committee for Sverdlovsk Oblast has also not commented on the information yet.
