Near Cascade, trolleybus hits 12-year-old boy – accident video
This morning, January 29, a serious accident occurred on Karl Marx Avenue at the intersection with Tsiolkovsky Street in Omsk. As reported by the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate (GIBDD), a 46-year-old trolleybus driver (route No. 4) entered the intersection on a red light. At that time, people began crossing the pedestrian crossing. As a result, the trolleybus hit a 12-year-old boy.
The police published video of the incident. The footage shows how the teenager starts walking on the road, but is hit by the trolleybus. From the impact, the boy is thrown onto the shoulder.
«As a result of the accident, the boy was taken to the hospital and placed in intensive care. The final causes and circumstances of the incident will be established during the investigation,» the GIBDD said.
The regional prosecutor«s office has also taken up the investigation of the incident. The issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.
