Murmansk Cuts Street Lights for Hospitals and Utilities

Power in the region was partially lost due to a technological disruption on an overhead power line
In Murmansk, external lighting on city streets and in courtyards has been temporarily turned off. This was announced by the city head, Ivan Lebedev, on his Telegram.
This decision was made to redistribute electricity in favor of more important facilities.
«We have temporarily turned off external lighting on city streets and in courtyards. Please be attentive and cautious,» Lebedev said.
First and foremost, electricity is being directed to the operation of heating and water supply organizations, as well as medical institutions. This is necessary for the stable provision of heat, water, and medical assistance to citizens.
Recall that in the Murmansk region, a state of high alert was introduced due to power outages. This decision was made at a meeting of the operational headquarters.
The press service of Rosseti Severo-Zapad (North-West Grid Company) reported that the cause of the outage was a technological disruption on an overhead power line. The prosecutor«s office of the Murmansk region has already launched an investigation due to mass power outages.
