On the morning of 24 January, a major traffic jam formed on Aviatorov Avenue in the Zavolzhsky district of Yaroslavl. The cause of the jam was a multi-vehicle crash.

«The exit towards school No. 50 was completely blocked. Now everything has been cleared and the cars have left. Preliminary reports say four cars crashed and several were turned sideways,» said a subscriber of the Telegram channel «Overheard in Yaroslavl! (18+)».

The Yaroslavl Region Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) confirmed a crash involving four foreign-made cars. At 10:36, a Hyundai, a Chevrolet, a Renault, and a Great Wall collided. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

By 11:30, traffic on Aviatorov Avenue remained difficult. According to the service «Yandex.Maps,» the lane towards Dachnaya Street is marked in crimson.

Overall, the aggregator rates traffic jams in the city at three points.

Earlier in Yaroslavl, a fatal traffic accident involving a pedestrian occurred. The driver fled the scene of the accident and is now being sought by the police.
