According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Oblast, the accident occurred on July 21 at about 5:00 PM on the 4th kilometer of the Ropsha–Maryino road. Preliminary investigation established that the Honda motorcycle crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a Dodge Ram pickup driven by a 48-year-old man. Two men were on the motorcycle. The 33-year-old driver died at the scene, and his 41-year-old passenger was hospitalized with moderate injuries. The circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
