Moscow woman confesses to drowning her own son

The body of a boy born in 2020 was discovered in a residential apartment on Brateyevskaya Street in Moscow.

The Moscow prosecutor«s office reported on 24 January that a preliminary examination found signs of »mechanical asphyxiation as a result of drowning in water« on the deceased. The 45-year-old mother of the child has given a confession, stating that she herself inflicted bodily harm on him. In photos published on the agency»s Telegram channel, severe disarray is visible in the family«s apartment.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Russian Criminal Code (murder). The prosecutor«s office has placed the investigation under special control. The suspect will undergo a psychological and psychiatric examination.
