On January 27, a unit from the Russian National Guard (Rosgvardiya) arrived at a house on Medynskaya Street in response to an alarm from a secured apartment. An elderly resident reported an attack by her 53-year-old neighbor.
CCTV footage documented the attacker wielding a shoehorn and the elderly woman«s defensive use of pepper spray.
Surveillance footage showed the man, armed with a shoehorn, assaulting the pensioner near the elevator. In response, she used pepper spray, forcing him to retreat.
The aggressor openly explained the reason for his displeasure, shouting: «Your deliveries are driving me crazy!..» According to department representatives, he was irritated by the frequent appearance of couriers at his neighbor«s door.
Law enforcement officers detained the man when he ran out onto the staircase, wearing only one slipper. The detainee was taken to the police station for further investigation.
