Montazhnikov Street section closed after ground collapse

After a ground collapse on Montazhnikov Street, which injured two students, a section from Promyshlennaya Street to Avtoremontnaya Street will be closed until 23:00 on February 27, the city hall reported.
Currently, in the area of the collapse (building 7B), there are huge traffic jams, and it is difficult for taxi drivers to approach.
The water spill is currently being contained by specialists from Orenburg Heating Networks, who are assisting in damage repair. To shut off the damaged section of the heating main, owned by a private organization, water had to be pumped out from the thermal chamber.
Recall that the emergency occurred early in the morning – two students fell into the sinkhole, both hospitalized in serious condition. A criminal case has been initiated, and it is under the control of Orenburg Region Prosecutor Ruslan Medvedev. Orenburg Mayor Albert Yumadilov was at the scene, and Governor Yevgeny Solntsev also keeps the situation under control.
