Missing Teen Found Dead in Khanty-Mansiysk

A 15-year-old boy from Khanty-Mansiysk who went missing five days ago was found dead, the regional Investigative Committee reported.

On the morning of January 31, the teenager left for school and did not return. Nothing was known about his whereabouts, and he did not contact his relatives. On the same day, the boy’s family filed a missing person report with the police. Investigators opened a criminal case.

Law enforcement officers and volunteers searched for the child for five days. On February 4, his body was found in a forested area near the ‘Kedr’ gardening cooperative. A visual inspection found no signs of violent death. The cause of death will be determined by forensic examination. Investigators will establish all circumstances and causes of the incident.
