Missile danger declared; airports closed in several regions
Residents are advised to take shelter in bunkers or underground parking garages.
A missile danger was declared in several regions overnight on July 21. Some airports in the country also stopped operations. Here is what is known as of this hour.
As of publication, a missile danger regime was declared in the Kaluga, Oryol, Rostov, Volgograd, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Samara regions and Stavropol Krai. Local governors, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), and the Russian Unified State System for Prevention and Response to Emergencies (RSChS) warned about this.
Rescuers in the Rostov region stated: "A missile danger has been declared. It is recommended to proceed to a shelter, basement, or underground parking!"
Belgorod and the Belgorod region came under missile strikes, the regional operational headquarters reported. According to preliminary data, no one was injured. Emergency and rescue services are assessing the aftermath of the attack.
Also, according to Rosaviatsiya (the Federal Air Transport Agency), airports in Samara, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Volgograd, and Gelendzhik are temporarily not receiving or dispatching flights.
How to act in case of missile danger:
Go down to the basement, underground parking, shelter, or refuge. Remember: using the elevator is prohibited!
Move to a room without windows (bathroom, hallway, pantry, toilet). Sit on the floor by a load-bearing wall and lower your head, covering it with your hands.
Do not stay in open areas; if you are in a vehicle, leave it. Proceed to shelter as quickly as possible.
If it is impossible to take shelter, find any depression or dip in the ground or concrete structures and use them for protection, lying face down on the ground with your head covered by your hands.
Stay in the shelter until the "All Clear" signal sounds.
Furthermore, do not pick up any debris or try to move it, nor record or disseminate information about the operation of air defense systems or drones. Report any suspicious objects to the unified emergency number 112.

The missile danger regime has been canceled in all the listed regions. Rosaviatsiya reports that airports in Volgograd, Samara, Saratov, and Ulyanovsk are operating normally. Airports in Gelendzhik and Kaluga are temporarily not dispatching or receiving flights.
