Minibus accident on M-5 kills driver, injures three

A serious road traffic accident on the M-5 «Urals» highway near the city of Sim occurred on the morning of Sunday, January 25.

According to information from the Chelyabinsk region State Traffic Inspectorate (GAI), a passenger minibus Volkswagen, which was making a regular trip from Satka to Ufa, failed to maintain a safe distance and collided with a Scania truck.

The accident happened around nine o«clock in the morning.

According to preliminary data, the 43-year-old minibus driver died at the scene.

All three passengers who were in the vehicle, with injuries of varying severity, were taken to a medical facility.

To ensure traffic on the section where the accident occurred, work was organized according to a reversible scheme.
