Mazda Driver Crashes into Three Cars and Flees
A reckless driver damaged several cars parked in a courtyard
In Chelyabinsk, on the night of Sunday, February 1, a Mazda 5 driver crashed into three cars. The incident occurred at 00:44 in the courtyard of house No. 66b on Molodogvardeytsev Street.
The car owners contacted the traffic police
The owners of the damaged cars called the traffic police to the scene.
A Ford was the most severely damaged
«This traffic accident has been documented and registered in accordance with established procedure. The vehicle»s owner has been identified and summoned to the Chelyabinsk City Traffic Police to give an explanation and clarify all circumstances,« the Chelyabinsk Traffic Police reported.
For leaving the scene of an accident, the driver faces administrative liability under Part 2 of Article 12.27 of the Russian Administrative Code (leaving by a driver, in violation of traffic rules, the scene of a traffic accident in which he was involved, in the absence of signs of a criminally punishable act). This entails deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one to one and a half years or administrative arrest for up to fifteen days.
