Massive flight delays again at Omsk airport: what happened?

On February 1, passengers were unable to fly to Moscow, St. Petersburg, and other cities from Omsk airport due to fog.

Today, February 1, several flights were delayed in Omsk due to fog and poor visibility, according to the airport.

Flights to St. Petersburg (FV6472 and KL308), Sochi (EO480), and Astana (IQ522) did not depart on time. According to the airport«s online board, flights to Moscow were also delayed, with planes bound for Omsk diverting to alternate airports:

SU1762/SU1763 — to Novosibirsk;

  • S72565/S72566 — to Novosibirsk;

  • U6387/U6388 — to Tyumen;

  • DP6521/DP6522 — to Novosibirsk;

  • SU1638/SU1639 — to Yekaterinburg.

    Currently, registration for flight DP6522 to Moscow has been completed, with departure rescheduled to 13:05 instead of 7:05. Passengers on flight FV6472 to St. Petersburg are also checking in and will depart from Omsk at 13:10 instead of 5:10. Others still await check-in.

    “Monitor flight status changes on the Omsk airport online board under the «Arrival» and «Departure» tabs. This also displays information about check-in start times and the actual arrival of aircraft,” the airport advises.
