A mass poisoning of pets occurred in the Meshchersky Les residential complex, located in the Solntsevo district. According to local residents, over the course of a day, various reports indicate that between 3 to 7 dogs died from intoxication there.

“During a walk on the boulevard of the complex on Borovskoye Highway, our dog ate some poison… After half an hour, convulsions started, foam came from the mouth… On the way to the vet clinic, the dog died. We have lived in the complex for a year. The dog was named Leto,” a resident said.

“Last night, a tragedy occurred and our beloved dog named Grand died. We were walking on the street and after about 30-40 minutes, convulsions started. Unfortunately, we didn’t make it to the clinic in time,” shared another resident.

As residents say, the pets were poisoned during walks near the residential complex. There, various types of bait have been found: balls or pieces of meat containing poisonous substances.

For example, one of the balls was colored pink—a drug for treating tuberculosis in humans, but for dogs it is too toxic and was found to be scattered almost throughout the entire complex territory.

After the mass poisoning of pets, local residents plan to contact the police to find the person responsible for their dogs« deaths. They also want to review surveillance camera footage to track down the dog hunter.

“The local police officer called round-the-clock clinics at night, gathering information. But without official complaints, all this is useless, according to him,” wrote a resident.

Earlier we published a news item about residents of the Moscow region complaining about dog hunters—three dogs have already died from poison.
