Mass Accident on Engel's Avenue Paralyzes Traffic Near Parnas

A major traffic accident involving several vehicles occurred on Engel«s Avenue in St. Petersburg. Video from the scene appeared in the »Forum I Parnas City« community on the social network VKontakte.
Traffic congestion extends to adjacent streets near the Parnas metro station.
According to online maps, all lanes on one section of Engel«s Avenue are closed. The Yandex.Maps service indicates that the collision happened on a viaduct near Suzdalsky Avenue.
As a result, traffic jams formed on Engel«s Avenue from the intersection with Nikolai Rubtsov Street to Lunacharsky Avenue. Congestion is also observed on Mikhail Dudin Street right at the Parnas metro station and on adjacent streets, including Prospekt Prosveshcheniya.
Yandex users report that the avenue in the accident area is «completely stalled,» and «the bridge is fully blocked.»
The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate for St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region confirmed that 7 cars were involved in the incident. There are no casualties.
