A mass road accident occurred on the morning of January 24 on Aviatorov Avenue in the Zavolzhsky District of Yaroslavl, leading to the formation of a major traffic jam.

A complete traffic standstill occurred on the road due to the multi-vehicle accident.

‘Traffic was completely blocked on the exit towards school No. 50. Now everything has been resolved, and the cars have moved away. Preliminary reports indicate that four cars collided, and several were turned sideways,’ said a subscriber of the Telegram channel Overheard in Yaroslavl! (18+).

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) Directorate for Yaroslavl Region confirmed the accident involving four foreign-made cars. At 10:36, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Renault, and Great Wall vehicles collided. There were no casualties in the accident.

By 11:30, traffic on Aviatorov Avenue remained difficult. The Yandex.Maps service displayed a crimson strip on the exit to Dachnaya Street.

The traffic jam aggregator rated the overall situation on Yaroslavl«s roads as three points.

In another incident in the city, a fatal accident involving a pedestrian occurred. The driver fled the scene, and police are currently searching for him.
