The man«s body was found on the evening of January 21 on Tankistov Street in Rybinsk.
In the group «Podslushano v Rybinske» (Overheard in Rybinsk), an eyewitness wrote: «They said the man was from the factory. He came to his parked car, got in, started it. Then someone killed him. I was driving by, forensic experts were already there. The body was under a sheet, an ambulance took it to the morgue.»
Another witness reported: «A woman was sitting with him. I offered them help, she said there was nothing more that could be done.»
Social media also contained information about a possible attacker: «They say a skinny young guy ran from the crime scene. The man was walking, asking for help, but it was too late, he fell dead.»
The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for Yaroslavl Oblast confirmed the discovery of the body. «Investigators are working at the scene, more detailed information will come later,» the agency explained.
A source from 76.RU clarified the details: «He left work, was getting into his car, when a man with a knife ran up to him and stabbed him several times.»
Preliminary information indicates that the victim was 32 years old. The motive for the attack is under investigation, with one theory being a conflict over a woman.
