A fire broke out in a garage on Michurina Street in Novoaltaysk, Altai Krai, the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) reported.
When firefighters arrived, dense smoke filled the interior, and two gas and smoke protection teams were deployed. Five square meters were burning. Fourteen firefighters on four fire engines were involved in extinguishing the blaze.
A deceased man was found at the scene. The cause of the fire may have been careless handling of fire.
