Man killed by partner's ex-husband in Nizhny Novgorod video

A Nizhny Novgorod man was murdered on the street by his partner's former husband, with the attack captured on video as bystanders largely ignored the scene.

A Nizhny Novgorod man, who was stabbed out of jealousy for the perpetrator«s ex-wife by an acquaintance, was killed right in front of people. The Telegram channel »Ni Mash« published the full video from an intercom camera that captured the moment of the brutal attack.

The video, shared by the Telegram channel Ni Mash, shows the attack occurring near a residential entrance as bystanders pass by.

According to the regional Investigative Committee, the murder occurred on Kompozitora Kasyanova Street on Wednesday, January 28. The camera footage shows that the attacker was lying in wait for the man by the entrance and, as soon as he approached, immediately began stabbing him with a knife. While the fight was ongoing, people passed by — they paid almost no attention to what was happening.

Towards the end, the man lay on the snow barely alive from his wounds. Only then did one of the passersby stop nearby. Presumably, he called an ambulance, but it was too late to save the victim — he died on the spot.

The suspect was detained. During interrogation, he admitted that he attacked the acquaintance, having become jealous of him over his former wife. For the duration of the criminal investigation, the man was sent to a pre-trial detention center.
