Man dies in duplex fire in Saraktash

On January 22, a fatal fire occurred in the Orenburg region. According to preliminary data from the press service of the regional Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), it happened in the town of Saraktash on Profsoyuznaya Street.

A two-apartment house (duplex) caught fire there. Employees of the 26th fire and rescue unit worked at the scene. They extinguished the fire over an area of 15 square meters (161 square feet) and reported that there was a casualty—the body of a deceased man was found. It later became known that he was 49 years old (born in 1977). Investigators are establishing the cause of the tragedy.
And that«s not all: in the town of Gai on Sadovaya Street, the roof of a two-story residential building and a garage with an area of 150 square meters (approximately 1,615 square feet) caught fire. Using a three-section ladder through a second-floor window, EMERCOM employees (a total of 18 people and 6 pieces of equipment fought the fire) rescued a 57-year-old man. The cause of that fire is being determined.
Note that just a day earlier, two fatal fires occurred in the region. As reported by 56.RU, in the city of Orenburg on Grigoryevskaya Street, a 40-year-old man died due to careless smoking, and a fire in a dormitory on Stanislavsky Street in the city of Orsk claimed the lives of a 55-year-old local resident and a 35-year-old woman.
