Man and woman killed in fire at Altai village

The fire covered an area of approximately 160 square meters.
On the evening of 28 January, a private two-apartment residential house was on fire in the village of Khabary in Altai Krai, the press service of the regional Ministry of Emergency Situations (MChS) reported.

The blaze completely destroyed the building«s roof.
The fire broke out in Solnechny Lane — the flames engulfed one of the apartments. The fire destroyed the roof and also damaged the walls, ceiling, and personal belongings.

A team of 12 firefighters responded to the incident with five fire engines.
The fire was extinguished over an area of about 160 square meters. For this, 12 firefighters using five fire engines were involved.
During the firefighting operation, the bodies of two people were discovered: a man and a woman.
According to preliminary data, the cause of the emergency was a violation of fire safety rules in the installation and operation of a stove.
