A major fire has been extinguished in Kola, with the report coming in yesterday at 18:56. As a reminder, a two-story non-residential building on Kameny Ostrov Street caught fire, and a rank 1-BIS was declared.

During the 16-hour firefight, thermal imagers were employed to locate hidden fire sources.

Open burning was eliminated at 02:30 on January 23, and at 11:05, firefighters completely dealt with the fire. The structure is damaged over an area of 500 square meters. The ceiling and walls of the garage box have been partially dismantled. A wooden superstructure over an area of 100 square meters has been destroyed. The metal roof structure has collapsed. A thermal imager was used to detect hidden fire hotspots.

Twenty-one firefighters and seven units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire, with the gas and smoke protection service working for 150 minutes. The causes of the fire will be checked by the prosecutor«s office, and the damage is being assessed.
