Recall that the fire on 25th Anniversary of October Street broke out on the evening of January 27. Readers of V1.RU shared footage from the scene. According to them, a warehouse at the Tulaka construction base caught fire. Later, the fire spread to a neighboring pavilion.
The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) reported: the wall cladding and warehouse products were burning. The fire area increased from 1000 square meters to 1500. Extinguishing was complicated by a high fire load. The fire was only extinguished at 02:40.
As employees of the construction base told V1.RU, the fire broke out when the stores were already closed.
“I saw that a lot burned down, at least five pavilions were completely destroyed, to the ground. It«s a real big misfortune. It happened in the evening when no one was here anymore. All stores work until 7:00 PM. There were no casualties,” the employee said. “We don»t know what exactly caused the fire. From the talk, something happened with the wiring. This morning, ambulances and firefighters were on duty here, but then everyone left. Now everything is calm here, everything is extinguished, only everything is frozen in puddles.”
