Major fire breaks out at warehouses in Volgograd

A major fire occurred at warehouse facilities in the Tulaka microdistrict of the Sovetsky District in Volgograd on the evening of 27 January.

According to eyewitnesses, the fire has been burning for at least an hour. The fire, which started in one of the warehouses, spread to the roof of a neighboring building.
Published footage shows intense burning and thick columns of black smoke. Several fire crews are working at the scene.
«My God... Tulaka,» an eyewitness exclaimed. «What a blaze... And the business is gone, you see? It»s spreading from roof to roof. The firefighters have a hard job: they«re standing right on the edge, in the snow.»
The fire engulfed the building at the address: 25 Let Oktyabrya Street, Building 1, Structure 5a. According to mapping data, warehouses for plumbing, electrical goods, roofing materials, and welding equipment are located here. The exact point of ignition has not yet been established.
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for Volgograd Oblast reported that the fire signal was received at 20:22 on 27 January. At the «Tulaka» construction base, wall cladding and warehouse products were burning. There is no information about casualties or injuries.
