Residents of Voronezh may hear loud noises during these hours. We hasten to reassure—there is no need for alarm.

This is not an emergency or emergency service drills. Today, January 25, at 11:00 on the third section of Petrovskaya Embankment, a key episode of the Great Patriotic War (World War II) is being recreated—the Red Army«s offensive from the Shilovsky and Chizhovsky bridgeheads in January 1943, which led to the liberation of Voronezh.

More than 200 reenactors from various Russian cities and 12 units of historical equipment are taking part in the large-scale event, including Katyusha rocket launchers, anti–tank guns, and the legendary T–34 and T–70 tanks. Interactive areas are organized for spectators: a field camp, a military enlistment office, a communications center, and a field kitchen.
