Long, Difficult Flight: Paralyzed Man Returned to Novosibirsk

A resident of Novosibirsk, Yevgeny, who was paralyzed in Thailand in January, has returned to Russia. The man is in Novosibirsk, his wife Olga announced on social media.
«We flew to Novosibirsk, an unrealistically long and difficult flight. At Sheremetyevo everything was done quickly and efficiently, despite the delay of the flight from Phuket, we made it in time,» she wrote.
The woman clarified that her husband had been taken to the hospital.
Olga said that her husband was diagnosed in Thailand with Guillain‑Barré syndrome, a rare disease that immobilizes a person. The couple wanted to return to Novosibirsk via Moscow, and it was planned that they would be accompanied by an intensive care doctor.
Olga reported that the total cost of tickets reached 1.5 million rubles ($16,700 at current rates). The day before, she explained why the flight turned out to be expensive.
