Lexus Crashes into UAZ Near Volgograd, Teenagers Injured

In the evening near the town of Ilovlya, a foreign-made car collided with an SUV, resulting in injuries to three people, including two minors.

In the evening on the 890th kilometer of the R-22 «Caspian» federal highway, the driver of a black Lexus lost control on the snowy road and struck a stationary UAZ. The accident occurred on the approach to the working settlement of Ilovlya in the area of a flyover over railroad tracks.

Judging by photos from the scene, the Lexus crashed into the domestic SUV on its left side, sustaining serious damage to its doors. The side airbags deployed, but the foreign car«s windows remained intact. The extent of damage to the UAZ has not yet been reported.

«According to preliminary information, at 20:30 on the 890th kilometer of the R-22 »Caspian« »Tambov-Volgograd-Astrakhan« federal highway, the driver lost control of a Lexus car and struck a stationary UAZ vehicle. As a result of the accident, three passengers, including two minors aged 11 and 13, were injured,» the report stated.

The condition of the injured is being clarified by the regional health committee.
