‘Left early, arrive late’ as accidents snarl Motovilikha traffic

On the morning of February 3, Motovilikha was paralyzed by multi-kilometer traffic jams due to two traffic accidents. Traffic on Solikamskaya Street has been blocked for more than two hours.

At around 7 a.m., traffic on Solikamskaya Street towards the center came to a standstill. According to users of Yandex Maps, a truck failed to climb a hill on the approach to Vosstaniya Square and stopped in the lane. After that, passenger cars collided in the second lane.

‘I left at 6:30 a.m., already stuck in traffic for an hour and a half,’ wrote online maps user Kirill Chadnov.

‘I left an hour earlier, will arrive an hour later,’ said Andrey Fadeyev.

‘Traffic police still aren’t here,’ noted another maps user around 8:30 a.m.

Another accident occurred at the intersection of Yakov Sverdlov and Lifanov streets. According to eyewitnesses, a taxi car crashed into an SUV. On 1905 Goda Street, a truck cannot climb the hill and is sliding on the road. Because of this, the traffic jam has stretched to the exit from Perm. The road congestion on Uralskaya Street extends to Rozaliya Zemlyachka Street.

The transport department warns that due to these accidents, buses in Motovilikha are running more than 50 minutes behind schedule. Routes No. 13 and 36 are bypassing the accidents via Rabotnitsy, Uralskaya, Krupskaya, Solikamskaya, and Mostovaya streets.

At 9:00 a.m., Yandex Maps rated traffic jams in Perm at nine out of 10 points. The Road Safety Center recommends avoiding the area of 1905 Goda and Solikamskaya streets.

‘On all roads, maintain distance and be prepared for unexpected maneuvers by other drivers,’ appeal to drivers from the Perm Krai Road Safety Center.
