The family of the young man involved in the accident on 40 Let VLKSM Street on January 23 is seeking witnesses to the incident.
According to official information from the traffic police, the incident occurred at 15:40. The 20-year-old driver lost control of a Lada Priora, collided with a light pole and a fence opposite house No. 100a, and was subsequently taken to a medical facility.
According to the victim«s brother, the accident was caused by a truck trailer.
»The road has two lanes. A KamAZ was driving in the far right lane, followed by a trailer. The Priora was in the left lane, and when it started to catch up with the trailer, the truck suddenly began changing lanes. My brother reflexively swerved left, towards the tram tracks, where the car started to skid and spin; he hit a pole and ended up in a ditch. Now my brother is in the hospital with a concussion.«
Relatives hope that the truck«s dangerous maneuver may have been recorded by other cars» dashcams and are asking owners of relevant footage to come forward.
