Kuban Schools Cancel Classes Due to Bad Weather

In Krasnodar Krai on February 4, school bus services were cancelled at 43 schools due to bad weather, the regional operational headquarters reported.
The decision was made at individual schools in Goryachy Klyuch, Apsheronsky, Kalininsky, Bryukhovetsky, Temryuksky, Novokubansky, and Dinskoy districts, as well as in the Primorsko-Akhtarsky district. Additionally, school bus services were cancelled at four state correctional schools in Timashevsky, Temryuksky, Slavyansky, and Ust-Labinsky districts.
The most difficult situation was in Timashevsky district. Due to heavy icing, classes were completely cancelled at 19 schools there, with lessons rescheduled for Saturday, February 14. Meanwhile, kindergartens continue to operate, with 60 duty groups open in the municipality.
According to weather forecasters, warmer weather is expected closer to the weekend, with temperatures possibly rising to +9 °C (48 °F) on February 7–8.
