Kodinsk Schoolgirl Attempts Knife Attack on Teacher, Stabs Student

A student at School No. 4 in Kodinsk attempted to attack a teacher with a knife and then injured a schoolgirl. This was reported by the press services of the Investigative Committee and the police.

According to preliminary information from law enforcement, the 14-year-old girl «decided to deal with her offenders» — other students. At the same time, she wanted to injure the teacher, but her classmates prevented her. Later, she stabbed a schoolgirl from a parallel class. The injured girl was hospitalized, received medical assistance, and was released. Her health is not in danger.

A relative of one of the students told NGS24.RU that the incident occurred during a chemistry lesson. Presumably, the girl had a conflict with the teacher and was being bullied at school.

The knife the girl had was a kitchen knife, which she brought with her, as clarified by the Investigative Committee.

The attacking girl was detained, and police are working with her. Two criminal cases have been initiated.

«A proper legal assessment will also be given to the actions (or inaction) of the educational institution»s officials regarding security on the premises,« clarified the press service of the Investigative Committee.
