Investigators open criminal case over beating of schoolgirl near Rostov

Investigators opened a criminal case after reports of a girl being beaten at School No. 1 in the stanitsa (Cossack settlement) of Olginskaya. A classmate slammed her into a doorjamb, and the girl lost consciousness.
«In order to establish all the circumstances of the incident, the investigative department for the Aksaysky district of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov region has opened a criminal case under Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, »Hooliganism,«» the agency«s press service reported.
Investigators are establishing the circumstances of the incident. During the investigation, the actions of the participants in the incident and the preventive bodies will be given a legal assessment.
According to the victim«s mother, the quarrels between the children began because classmates started bringing up the topic of the girl»s father, who died in the special military operation (SVO). The bullies themselves posted a video of the beating online. Police are conducting an inspection.
