Hyundai Sonata driver killed in crash near Podgornoye

A collision between a Korean-made car and a Chinese-made SUV occurred this morning in the Arkadak district, killing one of the drivers. Details of the January 28 accident were provided by the press service of the regional traffic police department.

The traffic accident happened on a road near the village of Podgornoye. A Hyundai Sonata driven by a 29-year-old man collided with a Geely Manjaro SUV. Two passengers from the Hyundai and the driver of the jeep were taken to the hospital, while the man driving the Sonata died at the scene.

According to traffic police representatives, road conditions in the region are currently hazardous due to icy patches, a blizzard, and blowing snow. Drivers are urged to exercise extreme caution: reduce speed, maintain a safe following distance, avoid sudden maneuvers and braking, and, if possible, refrain from long-distance trips.
