Installation of a new section of the heating main in the village of Darasun, Karymsky District, where a burst occurred on January 21, has been completed. The system has now begun to be filled with hot water, and the village should be switched from the backup scheme to the main one. This was reported on January 23 in the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Housing and Communal Services of Zabaykalye.

«Installation of the new section of the supply and return pipeline for the heat transfer fluid has been completed. Now we will proceed to gradually fill the replaced pipelines with heat transfer fluid, followed by switching from the backup scheme to the main one,» the message says.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Goncharov reported in his channel that at 15:30, filling of the system according to the main scheme began.

Residents of Darasun told a correspondent of «Chita.Ru» that it is cold in their homes — the temperature is dropping lower and lower, in some places no more than +5°C (41°F), and windowsills have begun to freeze over.

The boiler house in Darasun is serviced by Darasunskaya Energeticheskaya Kompaniya (Darasun Energy Company LLC) owned by Vladimir Zabelin, who is a well-known entrepreneur and political figure in Zabaykalsky Krai; from 2014 to 2016, he was the head of the administration of Chita. He also owns and manages several dozen other companies, including the controversial Teploenergoservis (Heat Energy Service LLC) — the boiler house of the Mashzavod in Chita, whose consumers were switched to central heating from TGK-14 in 2025.

It was not possible to obtain a comment from Vladimir Zabelin at the time of publication.

Helping to solve the problem in Darasun at the request of the regional Ministry of Housing and Communal Services is Energiya (Energy JSC). Similarly, as when there were heating problems in Atamanovka, other companies helped. About 20 people and three units of equipment were working to eliminate the accident.

Residents of Darasun complained about cooling radiators on January 21, when a burst occurred on the main heating pipeline. 17 apartment buildings and a secondary school were left without heat. Initially, the burst was patched with clamps, and at night, homes were connected to a backup scheme. Since the clamp did not help, it was decided to lay a new section of pipeline above ground. Five teams of welders from Energiya (Energy JSC) went to eliminate the accident.

In the village on January 22, a state of emergency was declared due to the accident on the heating pipeline, as there was a threat to the well-being of residents. In the village, volunteers were needed to help go around apartments to bleed air from radiators. EMERCOM employees brought heat guns to the village to maintain temperature in stairwells. They were also needed to heat half of the dormitory at Pochtovaya, 2. Additionally, a temporary accommodation point with a capacity of 120 people was prepared in the village of Karymskoye. On the morning of January 23, the head of Karymsky District, Oleg Pavlov, told how the repair of heating networks is progressing.
