"He walked, asking for help": Passerby stabbed to death on street

A man died on a street in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region. According to social media reports, this happened on Tankistov Street on the evening of January 21.

«They said he was a factory worker. He came to his parked car, got in, started it. Then someone killed him. I was driving by, and forensics were already there. The body was under a sheet, an ambulance took it to the morgue,» wrote one of the witnesses in the group «Overheard in Rybinsk.»

Another city resident wrote that she was also at the scene and saw the body.

«A woman was sitting with him. I offered help to them, but she said nothing could be done,» she said.

People are writing that a young man allegedly ran away from the scene.

«They say a skinny young guy ran away from the crime scene. And the man walked, asking for help, but they didn»t make it in time, he fell dead,« is written in »Overheard in Rybinsk.«

The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Yaroslavl region confirmed that a body was indeed found in Rybinsk. However, they did not provide details yet.

«Investigators are working at the scene, more detailed information will come later,» the department explained.

Meanwhile, a source from 76.RU said that everything happened exactly as described on social media:

«He left work, was getting into his car, when a man with a knife ran up to him and stabbed him several times.»

According to preliminary information, the deceased was 32 years old.

The reason for the attack is being investigated, various versions are being considered, including that the killer and the victim had a dispute over a woman.
