A grocery store caught fire in the Yaroslavl district. The blaze in Krasnye Tkachi happened on January 21. It broke out around 4 p.m., while people were inside the store.
«Teams from the gas and smoke protection service evacuated 11 people from the building, none of whom were injured,» the Emergencies Ministry press service reported.
According to rescuers, the preliminary cause of the fire is an electrical fault.
«The fire destroyed 10 meters of wiring and an Armstrong ceiling over an area of 12 square meters. Walls and ceilings were blackened with soot, as well as goods over an area of 64 square meters,» the department commented.
An investigation has been ordered.
On the night of January 20, a fire broke out at an auto service center in Yaroslavl, burning eight cars. Witnesses reported explosions in the building. It is known that there were gas cylinders inside. Thirty-two rescuers and 12 fire engines worked at the scene. It took almost four hours to extinguish the blaze. After the fire, the Emergencies Ministry ordered an investigation.
