Girl falls from balcony in Yaroslavl

On the evening of January 27, in the Dzerzhinsky district of Yaroslavl, a girl fell from a communal balcony of an apartment building on Volgogradskaya Street.

The incident was reported on social media, where photos from the scene showed a gathering of people.

The Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Yaroslavl Region confirmed the girl«s death. She was 17 years old at the time of her death.

«Whether the reasons for the girl»s actions are criminal in nature is being determined during the inquiry,« commented the department.

Earlier, in December 2025, in Yaroslavl, in the Lipovaya Gora area, a five-year-old child fell from an apartment window. The boy did not sustain serious injuries and was sent home after examination at a medical facility.

Another incident occurred in August 2025 on Braginskaya Street in the same Dzerzhinsky district. A 31-year-old woman fell from the window of an apartment building and died. According to law enforcement, her death was not criminal in nature.
