In the Alnashsky District, one person died in a collision involving four trucks. This was reported by the press service of the Udmurtia State Traffic Inspectorate.
The terrible accident occurred on January 21, around 14:00, at the 372nd kilometer of the federal highway, near the turn to the village of Novye Alnashi. According to preliminary data, the culprit of the incident was a 66-year-old driver of a DAF truck. He lost control and veered into the oncoming lane, resulting in a collision with a Gazelle truck, which in turn crashed into MAN and Volvo trucks.
The 29-year-old driver of the Gazelle died at the scene. Other participants in the accident were not injured.
At the scene, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and operational services are working. Firefighters from Fire and Rescue Unit No. 25 arrived to extricate the body of the deceased.
Currently, the causes and circumstances of the incident are being established.
