Garage fire and explosion in Voronezh claims a life
One of the victims has died after a fire and explosion at a garage cooperative on Antonova-Ovseenko Street in Voronezh. This was reported to a correspondent from Voronezh1.ru.
The tragedy occurred on January 19 at approximately 3:13 PM at the garage-construction cooperative «Titan-1». According to preliminary data, a fire started in one of the garages, leading to a loss of pressure and subsequent explosion of a propane cylinder. Due to the explosion, two brick walls collapsed, and their debris crushed a «Niva» car.
The flames engulfed three garage bays. The fire damaged the trunk, rear bumper, and brake lights of parked «Ford» and «Kia Rio» cars. Firefighters managed to localize and extinguish the fire within 12 minutes.
Three men aged 31, 37, and 38 were injured; one of them, despite doctors« efforts, later died. The second patient is in serious condition in intensive care, and the third is in moderate condition in a specialized department, added the Ministry of Health.
