In Vavozh, a water pipe burst on Svoboda Street due to frosty weather, leaving 219 houses without water, according to the press service of the Vavozhsky District administration.

In Udmurtia, severe frosts struck overnight from January 22 to 23, with temperatures dropping below –35°C (–31°F) in parts of the republic.

The cold snap caused several utility failures. One morning outage left three villages in the Igrinsky District without power, while in Vavozh, a burst pipe on Svoboda Street disrupted water supply to nine streets: Komsomolskaya, Svoboda, Tsvetochnaya, Yubileynaya, Vesennaya, Tenistaya, Chaikova, Logovaya, and Kirova.

«Currently, housing and communal services employees have deployed for repairs. We are excavating to find the burst in the cold water supply pipe. With 219 houses still without water, stay tuned for updates; we are working quickly and will inform on reconnection. Water is available from standpipes, and if delivery is needed, please report,» said municipal head Sergei Zorin on his VKontakte page.

Residents of affected streets can draw water from a standpipe at the intersection of Svoboda, Gagarin, and Logovaya streets. For questions, contact Vavozhskoe ZhKKh LLC at 8 (34155) 2-14-72.
