Free Tape to Seal Windows: Recovery in Adyghe Aul After UAV Attack

What Happened

On the night of January 21, during a massive drone attack over Krasnodar Krai and the sea area, a series of explosions occurred in the aul of Novaya Adygeya. Authorities stated that it was a «UAV strike.» As a result, apartment buildings and private houses were damaged, at least 15 cars burned down, and dozens of vehicles and buildings had their windows blown out. A multi-story building in one of the residential complexes was hit particularly hard.

In the Takhtamukaysky District, a state of emergency was declared, and some residents were evacuated to a temporary accommodation center. Thirteen people were injured, nine of whom were hospitalized. Among the wounded are two children. During the clearing of debris, a fragment of a human body was found.
What Is Happening Now
As reported by the head of Adygea, Murat Kumpilov, the aul continues to eliminate the consequences of the incident.
An operational headquarters is working around the clock, involving rescuers, utility services, medical personnel, social workers, and government representatives.
Construction companies, contractors, and management organizations have joined the efforts. They are engaged in:
clearing the territory;
removing construction debris;
cleaning up burned cars;
restoring damaged partitions in houses;
inspecting structures for defects.
Authorities promise to involve construction companies from the republic, and the volume of restoration work will be divided among contractors.
Residents of inspected houses, where habitation is deemed possible, are being given free plastic film and tape to temporarily seal windows.
Humanitarian Support
In the Takhtamukaysky District, points for collecting humanitarian aid are operating. At the scene, representatives of the People«s Front and the ONF Youth Wing, public organizations, entrepreneurs, and local residents are providing assistance.

Accommodation
A temporary accommodation center has been set up at the Shapsug recreation base (13 kilometers from the aul) and continues to operate. According to the latest data, 27 people were there. Authorities claim that people are provided with everything necessary.
At the temporary accommodation center, medical personnel, psychologists, social workers, and government representatives are working around the clock. The organization of work is overseen by the Minister of Labor and Social Development of Adygea, Dzhanbech Mirza. Authorities are ready to accept everyone who lost their homes into the temporary accommodation center.
Return of residents to their homes will only be possible after the buildings are inspected and deemed safe, with restored electricity and heating supply.
Condition of the Injured
According to the Ministry of Health of Adygea, the condition of all hospitalized individuals is stable, there is no threat to life, and patients are recovering.
A mother and child from Enem have been transferred to the republican children«s hospital in Maykop;
in Krasnodar, three adults and one teenager are undergoing treatment;
Damage Assessment and Payments
Specialists from the district administration have begun door-to-door visits and commission inspections. A package of documents is being prepared for processing material payments.
More than 300 applications have already been submitted to the operational headquarters. Additionally, on January 22 at 18:00, a meeting will be held in the aul of Novaya Adygeya between residents and representatives of the district Investigative Committee. People will be explained the procedure for processing documents, including for damaged vehicles.
