A fox bit a woman and then attempted to enter a shop in the village of Borovoe, Novosibirsk Oblast. This information was confirmed to NGS by Galina Kozyreva, the acting head of the Borovoe village council.

The clip shows the fox behaving aggressively as it tries to force entry into the store.

According to the Telegram channel AST-54 Black, the fox tried to make its way into a shop on Lenin Street in Borovoe. The animal«s aggressive behavior was captured on video.

«Yes, it»s true. First it tried to squeeze into the shop, then it attacked a person — a pharmacist, and bit them. The fox was killed; the game warden said it was rabid,« explained Galina Kozyreva to NGS.

She clarified that the incident occurred on the morning of 28 January.

In November 2025, NGS reported that a rabies quarantine was imposed in the Kirovsky District after the discovery of an infected fox. This was the first case in several years where a sick animal was found in the city.

Restrictive measures were established within a one-kilometer radius from house No. 58/1 on Sibiryakov-Gvardeytsev Street until 15 January 2026. The site was declared an outbreak where an inspector from the regional Ministry of Natural Resources found the fox«s corpse.
