Former School Director Freezes to Death in Nizhny Tagil

The pensioner Nina Fesvitiyanova, who froze to death in Nizhny Tagil, turned out to be a distinguished educator. She dedicated over 50 years to working in the city«s education system.

According to the publication «Uralsky Rabochy», Nina Vladimirovna was awarded the medal «For Valiant Labor», and held the titles of Excellent Educator of the RSFSR and People«s Education of the USSR.

At various periods in her life, the woman worked as a teacher of Russian language and literature, and was the director of school No. 45. She also headed the education department of the Tagilstroevsky district for 24 years.

“I always say with pride that I graduated from the Sverdlovsk State Pedagogical Institute, became a teacher of Russian language, literature and history (back then, in the post-war years, they trained multi-disciplinary specialists). There was a bustling social life, we studied with great interest, responsibly, passionately. All this helped us on the road of life. The diploma — that is my wealth,” said Nina Fesvitiyanova in an interview with «Uralsky Rabochy» in 2023.

It is known that Nina Fesvitiyanova was found frozen not far from her home on Parkhomenko Street. This happened on February 1. According to preliminary information, she left her apartment undressed on the night of January 31. The woman was in home slippers. It is possible that the cause of the tragedy was disorientation.
