Former vice governor of Chelyabinsk Region Boris Mizrakhi has died at the age of 75. The regional Ministry of Culture confirmed this on Friday, January 23.
«For many years, Boris Alexandrovich was a member of the public council at the Ministry of Culture and served as its chairman,» the department stated. «We will remember him as a person deeply committed to culture, who strived to approach his public duties with care and thoughtfulness. We express sincere condolences to the family and friends of Boris Alexandrovich.»
Information regarding the date, time, and location of the farewell ceremony for Boris Mizrakhi will be provided later.
Boris Mizrakhi was a graduate of Chelyabinsk Polytechnic Institute, specializing in «Automobiles and Tractors,» and began his career as a design engineer. He entered politics in the 1990s. He worked in the Chelyabinsk City Council of People«s Deputies, the regional government, served as a deputy in the Legislative Assembly, and chaired the committee on social policy. He authored 34 publications.
A meeting with Boris Mizrakhi was scheduled for today at 2 p.m. at the public library.
