Former Chelyabinsk Oblast vice-governor dies at 76

Boris Mizrakhi served as vice-governor and was a key figure in cultural and social policy in Chelyabinsk Oblast.
Former vice-governor of Chelyabinsk Oblast Boris Mizrakhi died at the age of 76. The regional ministry of culture confirmed this information on Friday, January 23.
«For many years, Boris Aleksandrovich was a member of the public council under the Ministry of Culture and served as its chairman,» the department clarified. «We will remember him as a person who cared deeply about culture and strived to approach his public activities with attentiveness and thoughtfulness. We express sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Boris Aleksandrovich.»
Information about the date, time, and place of the farewell ceremony for Boris Mizrakhi will be announced later.
Mizrakhi was a graduate of the Chelyabinsk Polytechnic Institute with a degree in «Automobiles and Tractors.» He began his career as a design engineer. In the 1990s, he moved into politics, working in the Chelyabinsk City Council of People«s Deputies, the regional government, was a deputy of the Legislative Assembly, and headed the committee on social policy. He is the author of 34 publications.
On January 23 at 14:00, a meeting with Boris Mizrakhi was planned at the public library.
