Ford vs. Lada: Driver Dies in Head-On Crash in Otradny

On Saturday, January 31, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the Samara Region. Police worked at the scene.

The incident happened at 15:20 at the 86.9-kilometer mark of the Samara–Buguruslan highway, within the city limits of Otradny. The crash involved two vehicles: a domestic car and a foreign-made one.

«According to preliminary data, the 42-year-old driver of a Ford car moved into the oncoming lane in a location where it is permitted and collided with a Lada 2110 driven by a man born in 1974,» reported the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Samara Region.
The driver of the Ford was killed in the head-on collision. Three injured individuals from the domestically produced vehicle were taken to the hospital. Police are continuing to establish all the circumstances of the crash.
On the same day, another accident with similar circumstances occurred in the Volzhsky District of the region. A 6-year-old child was injured in the morning crash.
