Participants in an accident that occurred on January 27 at the intersection of Malysheva and Khokhryakov streets are looking for witnesses. In the morning, two crossovers — a blue Subaru and a Nissan — collided in the center of Yekaterinburg. The driver described what led to the collision.

Dashcam footage shows the Subaru driver being cut off by a Hyundai, causing him to lose control.

“I was driving from 8 Marta Street along Malysheva. My speed was about 60 km/h (37 mph). Before the intersection, a dark Hyundai Solaris changed lanes in front of me. I applied emergency brakes, which sent me into the oncoming lane, and I collided with a Nissan,” said the Subaru driver, Sergei.

The video from another angle captures the moment the Subaru crosses into the opposing lane.

The motorist showed footage from his dashcam. The frames show that Sergei was driving in the far left lane. The driver of a passenger car, who was moving in the middle lane, without turn signals suddenly began changing into the left lane — right next to the crossover. After that, the Subaru moved into the oncoming lane, and a collision occurred.

Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident. The Hyundai driver left the scene, and now the participants of the accident are looking for him.
