Fire on Petergof Highway: Three Hospitalized

On the morning of January 30, a severe fire broke out in a nine-story building in the Krasnoselsky District of St. Petersburg. Three people, including one in serious condition, were hospitalized.

A report of a fire in an apartment on Petergof Highway, building 7, was received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) shortly before ten in the morning. The fire area in the three-room apartment was 60 square meters. Fifteen firefighters were dispatched to combat the blaze.
Firefighters needed almost an hour to extinguish the fire. During the operation, 15 people were evacuated from the danger zone. As a result of the incident, three people were injured: two men and one woman.
According to the Agency for Journalistic Investigations (AZhUR), both men were rescued from the fire-engulfed apartment. One of them was taken to a medical facility with serious injuries. The woman who received medical aid was an elderly neighbor living on the floor above.
