Fire in Volgograd: building in Angarsky village catches fire

A major fire broke out during the day on January 24 in the Angarsky village of Volgograd. It is reported that the fire engulfed a non-residential building at the corner of Angarskaya and Razdolnaya streets.

Footage published on social media shows thick smoke rising from a building housing a grocery store. The village streets are shrouded in a smoke screen. Firefighting crews have arrived at the scene. Preliminary information indicates the fire is raging inside the premises, and there is no information about casualties or victims so far.
«There are two buildings,» eyewitnesses said. «One houses a Magnit store, the other had a Fix Price. It seems that one caught fire. It has been burning for about 40 minutes.»
The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) for Volgograd Region confirmed that firefighters were dispatched to Angarskaya Street. The department noted that details of the incident are being clarified.
According to information from the 2GIS service, 12 tenants operate at 98b Angarskaya Street. Among them are grocery and industrial supermarkets, a curtain sewing atelier, an auto parts store, and a delivery point for an online platform.
